Over the course of an eight year freelance career, I’ve been very fortunate to work with many wonderful people, and on many amazing projects. Having had the opportunity to work on such a variety of projects, I’ve been able to gain experience in all aspects of video production. I have a variety of experience producing, directing, writing, shooting, editing and online editing.

After film school, I started my career at a small DVD authoring studio in Toronto, and became proficient at project management, authoring, and design. I also developed strong technical and troubleshooting skills.

After two years in the industry, I was ready to go freelance, and I began editing and online editing.

In 2006, I moved to Vancouver, and re-established myself as a freelance editor and shooter, primarily working on corporate videos. In 2011, I moved into the broadcast world and continued online editing.

I enjoy my career because of the people I work with and meet on new projects. I like the storytelling aspect of video production, and the creative and technical challenges along the way.

My professional goals are to continue to provide excellent service, creative solutions, and dynamic products to my current clients, and to develop new relationships.

What really makes me tick? Fishing!  From being on the ocean in my kayak in summer, to wading in rivers in the fall, to steelheading in the winter, to lake fishing in the spring, fishing is a 365 hobby for me. Fortunately, my wife, Heather, understands my passion.

The name CREEK WATER MEDIA comes from my passion for fishing. There is nothing better than the instant your feet get cold from wading into a river; running your finger tips through the cold water before the sun has risen; being in your favourite spot, listening to the water and the birds, watching your float dip below the surface; setting the hook and fighting the big one; getting a picture and letting it go, watching it swim away.

I have been playing men's fastpitch since I was about 12 years old. I started playing on my dad's team, the Barwick Blue Knights, and I've played "back home," in Winnipeg, Toronto, and now in Vancouver. I began playing with the Vancouver Ravens in 2010, and now play third base and first base (only occasionally trying to pitch), while also helping to manage the team. Fastpitch is a great game — I enjoy the gamesmanship and camaraderie of team sport.

I have fished through fishless days that I remember happily without regret.
